Dayo Obisan is currently the president of the Fund Managers Association Of Nigeria and Managing Director, Greenwich Asset Management Limited.
Dayo has worked in various roles as an Investment Manager with over 14 years of experience and joined Greenwich Asset Management Limited as its Managing Director in 2015. Prior to Greenwich, he worked as the head of investments and lead portfolio manager at Chapel Hill Denham Management for 4 years. Before Chapel Hill Denham, Dayo worked at Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited for 6years, exiting in 2012 as the Head of Wealth Management, where he worked with several top-grade corporates and HNIs to achieve their investment goals.
As a Fund Manager, Dayo co-managed and led the restructuring of the Nigeria International Debt Fund (Nigeria’s first $-denominated mutual fund) into a Naira denominated Bond Fund in 2009 and recently led the team that created the first and only publicly-raised fund (unit trust) targeting investment in Nigeria’s entertainment sector in October 2017. His other fund management experience includes managing Nigeria’s first gender- specific mutual fund (Women’s Investment Fund), several equity-based, money market and balanced funds.
Dayo recently served as an executive committee member of Fund Managers Association of Nigeria, chairing the sub-committee on Regulation and Ethics. He was recently appointed as a fellow of the Institute of Investment Advisers and Portfolio Managers (IAPM) and is a student member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. He holds a BSc (Economics) and MSc (Business and Financial Economics) from the University of Greenwich, UK.
